FAQ's

How much does it cost?

The service pays for itself many times over, considering the amount it saves you in lost productivity, risk prevention, training and investment in personnel. (The average cost to replace an employee is now $45,000 in the US). You can also see profits respond, as on-board staffers are more finely-targeted to positions that maximize their strengths. Each report costs $195, with volume pricing available. Government agencies and non-profit groups may also receive discounted pricing.

This sounds like hocus-pocus to me. Is it legit?

This is pure science at work - backed by 10 years of research, case studies, and ongoing tests. Computer programs, complemented by highly-trained expert analysis, yield an accuracy rate of over 95%. There's no New Age, spiritual, or other non-scientific methodology used - just hard facts.

How will Candidate Insight Reports fit into our hiring process?

We recommend that you collect handwriting samples from all of your job applicants. Fax us only the samples for candidates you plan to interview. We'll send you back the results - usually within 24 hours.

Candidate Insight Reports should be added as another tool to your current hiring process.

How long does it take to get the results back?

Once Written Inc. receives a faxed handwriting sample, the turn around time is 1-2 business days. However we often can get results back to our clients within 24 hours!

What is Written Body Language?

People read body language whenever they interact with another person. It's unconscious and automatic for example, an angry person makes you fearful and a jumpy person unsettles you. Written Body Language involves the same mind-body connection. It happens when someone puts pen to paper resulting in an amazing guide to their unconscious traits and behaviors. Just as valid as body language and just as automatic, Written Body Language identifies what is usually kept hidden; the good or bad traits of a person.

How does it work?

1. Your job applicants or existing employees are provided with two simple paragraphs to copy onto a sample collection form.
2. The form is faxed to Written Inc. toll free at (888) 329-8744.
3. Our handwriting specialists analyze the samples and generate a Candidate Insight Report.
4. The report is uploaded to our secure website where it can be viewed and downloaded in a PDF format.

Is it legal to use?

Absolutely! Candidate Insight is EEOC compliant and does not discriminate. Several Supreme Court cases tested the legality of Handwriting Analysis and held that it is legal to use as a hiring and screening tool in business. Additional information regarding legal considerations is available upon request.

How is Written Body Language different from handwriting analysis?

Handwriting analysis has been around for a century and a half, but the results were usually generic and unreliable. Most analysts used a one-to-one relationship; if you cross your "t" this way it means "X". We found this method to be too simplistic. We use a relational database combined with artificial intelligence that goes beyond the one-to-one model giving us a series of "if" statements. If we read "t" crossings and "I-dots" and spacing and etc., our results give us a whole new trait or a series of traits.

What steps does Written Inc. take to ensure that the results are accurate?

We take a 3-level approach to quality on every report.

* Analysis
* Validation
* Quality Assurance

After the first level of analysis, our Validation Department takes the report and checks for mistakes and/or omissions. Our Quality Assurance Department completes the final step before the report is generated. This 3-step approach to quality control has resulted in a 95% accuracy rate.

How is Candidate Insight different from other personality assessments?

Computer based personality tests or multiple choice questionnaires expect the person to respond honestly to the questions. People defeat these tests by simply answering in a way that makes them look good. Candidate Insight Reports cannot be manipulated. Individuals can't change their handwriting to conceal or disguise anything.

Should we consider this to be private information?

Yes! We recommend that a Candidate Insight Report be treated like other private information. Treat our reports the same as you would drug test results, financial information, personal recommendations, reason for acceptance or rejection, etc. This information is considered company private and may expose an organization to unnecessary problems.

Who is authorized to see the Candidate Insight results?

The only people authorized to view a Candidate Insight report are members of management; both yours and ours. The Candidate Insight report is considered sensitive and private.

Can Written Inc. analyze someone's handwriting if the candidate can only print and does not use cursive writing?

We have found that a cursive style writing using a ball point pen provides us with the best information. If the sample is written using a combination of upper and lowercase printing, a short but accurate result is possible. Printing in all uppercase provides virtually no valuable information and can not be accepted.

Is there a scientific basis behind Written Body Language?

Yes. Neurological studies of human brain scans reveal a direct connection between specific personality traits and physiological actions. This can be seen when you observe a person's body language along with voice intonation and handwriting. The concept of Written Body Language was developed and tested for 10 years using a large database of individuals from all walks of life and circumstances. From super stars to serial killers to regular people, this cross-section of subjects enabled us to check and re-check our data. The result is a state-of-the-art and extremely accurate personality assessment tool.
